Ranbir in Shimit Amin's Next

It seems as if there has been a flood of directors keen on signing Ranbir Kapoor for their films even before his first release. Ranbir Kapoor was signed by YRF for a three-film deal, one of which is Siddharth Anand's Next. Now it seems YRF have approached Bobby Deol and Ranbir Kapoor for Shimit Amin’s next according to an inside source. The movie is supposed to be a remake of the Training Day.

But Shimit Amin contradicted it by stating that even though his next has two main leads with completely contrasting personalitites, it is not a remake of Training Day. He however confirmed that he is indeed in talks with Bobby Deol and Ranbir Kapoor and the cop drama is still in its scripting stage and the shooting wont start until later this year.
